Orange 3oz Practice Balls

BOLA 3oz 'Orange' Practice Balls. The lighter-weight orange ball is designed to give higher bounce to enable players to practice back foot shots at reduced ball speeds. Players can play hooks and pulls safe in the knowledge that the softer ball will not cause injury. Also used for junior age groups to provide bounce when the BOLA is on it's shorter legs. The extra bounce is useful for re-creating different batting conditions (such as a fast pitches) so that batters can gain experience of multifarious wickets and Orange balls are also increasingly popular with coaches for throw downs.

Mark Davis, Cricket Professional at Millfield School, employs Orange balls for spin sessions. "The Orange balls imitate a spinner bowling on a quick, hard wicket. The balls bounce higher and, on a good length, are more difficult to play. They are particularly useful for developing the sweep stroke because the extra bounce requires the player to get right on top of the ball without fear of being hurt. They are also excellent for coach safety!"

Replace when the balls lose their dimples or their accuracy is reduced.
